Environmental Technician

Job Description:

• Responsible for safe and efficient sampling, data collection, and assistance with regulatory reporting.
• Conduct inspections and monitoring related to air, water and waste compliance programs.
• Stop work for safety concerns, and abide by safety best practices, policies and procedures.
• Perform soil, groundwater, surface water, waste, sediment and air sampling.
• Perform manual stream flow measurements and associated hydrology monitoring.
• Collect, review and analyze environmental data.
• Input data into an environmental database.
• Assist with preparation of routine submittals to regulatory agencies to document system performance and compliance with permit requirements.
• Document all field activities and notes.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a team-oriented mindset
• Ability to work safely and promote safe behavior in others
• Excellent safety, attendance, and work records
• Good computer knowledge (Microsoft Office applications, e-mail, etc.)
