Job Summary: We are seeking an Android Mobile Developer to design, develop, and maintain high-quality features for client's eCommerce mobile application. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience building modern Android applications using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Hilt, MVVM, and other Android Jetpack components. This role requires strong expertise in modular architecture, scalable application development, and delivering production-ready code with comprehensive testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Android application features using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
- Build scalable, reusable, and maintainable applications following MVVM architecture.
- Implement dependency injection using Hilt and manage local data persistence with Room.
- Develop asynchronous workflows using Kotlin Coroutines and Flow.
- Integrate REST APIs using Retrofit and ensure efficient network communication.
- Write unit and UI tests using JUnit, MockK, and Android testing frameworks.
- Work within a multi-module Gradle architecture to support scalable application development.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, QA, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver high-quality mobile experiences.
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, performance optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Follow modern Android development best practices, coding standards, and CI/CD workflows.
Must-have Skills: - 5+ years of experience in Android Mobile Application Development.
- Expert-level proficiency in Kotlin.
- Strong hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose.
- Experience implementing MVVM Architecture.
- Strong knowledge of Kotlin Coroutines and Flow.
- Experience with Hilt for dependency injection.
- Hands-on experience with Room Database and Retrofit.
- Experience writing unit and UI tests using JUnit, MockK, or similar testing frameworks.
- Experience working with multi-module Gradle projects.
- Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Strong debugging, performance optimization, and problem-solving skills.
Nice-to-have Skills: - Experience developing large-scale consumer-facing eCommerce mobile applications.
- Familiarity with Android Jetpack libraries and modern Android architecture components.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated mobile application deployment.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and Jira.
- Experience optimizing application performance, accessibility, and responsiveness.
Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience building and maintaining enterprise-scale Android applications.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in distributed, cross-functional teams.
- Passion for modern Android development and mobile application best practices.
