This is skilled administrative and supervisory work in the operation and maintenance of the Town's Streets Bureau, Electrical Bureau, Paint Sign Bureau, Grounds Maintenance Bureau, and General Maintenance Bureau. The employee in this classification is responsible for the safe and economical maintenance of the Town's facilities, grounds, medians, parks, streets, sidewalks, bike paths, traffic signs, and street lights. The employee supervises the work of skilled employees to insure programs and projects are being completed as requested in a productive and cost efficient manner. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Assistant Director of Public Works, who reviews work through discussions with the employee and the examination of records and reports; however, the employee is required to exercise independent judgement and initiative in the proper operation of the Facilities Maintenance Division.
