Packaging Project Coordinator - Entry Level
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Packaging Project Coordinator to support our Packaging Engineering team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role will be responsible for coordinating packaging-related projects, maintaining packaging specifications and technical data, tracking project progress, and supporting cross-functional teams throughout commercialization activities.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working with data and project tracking tools, and enjoys collaborating with multiple stakeholders to ensure projects are completed accurately and on time. Responsibilities
- Coordinate packaging-related projects and support commercialization initiatives from concept through implementation.
- Track project timelines, milestones, deliverables, and action items across multiple departments.
- Support Packaging Engineers with maintaining packaging specifications, documentation, and technical data.
- Enter, update, and validate packaging information within specification management systems, PLM platforms, and other business systems.
- Collaborate with suppliers, operations, quality, procurement, and engineering teams to gather required project information and documentation.
- Create and maintain project trackers, status reports, dashboards, and related documentation.
- Assist with packaging compliance, sustainability, and reporting initiatives by collecting and organizing relevant data.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of packaging information across multiple databases and systems.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve data management workflows.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel, Teams, SharePoint, and related business tools to organize and communicate project information.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Packaging, Food Science, or a related field.
- 0-3 years of experience in project coordination, manufacturing, operations, product development, data management, or a related environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing, consumer products, food and beverage, packaging, or other regulated industries.
- Exposure to packaging specifications, product documentation, or technical data management.
- Experience with ERP, PLM, SharePoint, SAP, Oracle, or specification management systems.
- Familiarity with project tracking, reporting, or dashboard creation.
- Interest in process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Brea, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $55.00/hr.
