Job Profile: U.S. Customs and Border Protection Canine Academies Lead Role Player & Role Players
Location: El Paso, Texas
Schedule: Part-time

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Canine Academies has a requirement for scenario-based role players to support canine (K9) training facilities at El Paso, TX.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) secure the national border while facilitating lawful trade and travel. The CBP Canine Academy in El Paso, Texas supports this mission by providing advanced training to canine teams (dog and handler). Training may occur in real-world environments
Requirements:
- Able to work indoors/outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Provide own weather gear, insect repellant, water, sun protection, footwear, etc.
- Provide own transportation from home to the Academy location and back.
- No fear of canines; proximity but not direct contact required.
- Report in good health; safety precautions (masks, sanitizer) as needed.
- No alcohol consumption 12 hours before or during work.
- Dress code: full coverage footwear (no shorts, flip-flops, sandals, high heels); long pants/shirts/skirts for protection; no provocative clothing; CBP may reject for inappropriate dress/actions.
- Adhere to CBP Non-Fraternization Policy.
- Must be able to travel on foot 4-6 miles/day when required
- At time, role players must be able to hide in various spaces to include confined spaces; lie, sit, or stand quietly for up to one hour.
- May be required to read aloud scripts simulating field scenarios.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Prior decoy training/higher education not required.
