Hotel Residential Housekeeper

Position Summary:

EVS Technician I, performs housekeeping and service duties necessary to maintain the Patient and Family Housing building and apartments in an orderly, safe, sanitary, and attractive condition. This position is primarily responsible for heavy housekeeping duties in patient care and non-patient care areas. Depending on assignment, may perform any combination of cleaning in patient areas, procedure rooms, bathrooms and other non-patient areas.

Location: 3425 S Clarkson St, Englewood, CO 80113

Shift Options: Wednesday- Sunday; 7 am-3:30 pm MST

Compensation: $18.50—$26.64/hour

Required and Desired Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: 1+ years of experience in housekeeping required, hospital or hotel experience preferred.
• Skills & Abilities: Excellent organization and customer service skills. Ability to endure physical movements in carrying out job responsibilities. Ability to successfully handle multiple priorities and prioritize and schedule according to forecasting workloads. Reacts to unexpected changes in priorities. Must be able to successfully and effectively communicate with a variety of personnel.

Essential Functions:

• Perform a variety of assigned routine cleaning tasks, including dusting, mopping, scrubbing, disinfecting, vacuuming and polishing according to assigned areas in a timely manner. Areas will routinely include but are not limited to patient rooms, patient care areas, office areas, public areas, bathrooms, water fountains, etc. Perform a complete patient room discharge cleaning when a patient's room has been vacated.

• Adhere to hospital Infection Prevention practices and standards, including biohazard waste handling, handwashing techniques, and standard or isolated precautions. Exercise the highest level of care in using chemicals or hazardous materials; follow guidelines and precautions on MSD sheets.

• Empty and transport soiled linen. Empty trash containers and remove all trash, ensuring receptacles are odor free.

• Respond to questions and requests from patients, staff and visitors and provide excellent customer service.

• Maintain a clean and neat cart, station, closet, and equipment storage areas. Keep utility carts stocked at all times.

• Clean and return all equipment after use.

• Maintains a good rapport with fellow associates, physicians, and staff.
