On the Medical Surgical platform, the MedSurg Nurse Director will guide a dynamic adult inpatient service caring for complex medicine and post-surgical populations, offering exposure to high-acuity cases, specialty consults, rapid response depth, and streamlined throughput that builds leadership and clinical mastery. Within a 600+ bed hospital anchored in community-focused care, the MedSurg Nurse Director champions team-based models, throughput innovations, and patient experience enhancements that drive reliable, high-value care.
Reporting to senior nursing leadership, the MedSurg Nurse Director will lead capable managers, charge nurses, educators, and a diverse team of RNs, CNAs, and allied professionals to deliver safe staffing, budget stewardship, capacity management, and quality outcomes. Supported by analytics, clinical ladders, and process-improvement resources, the MedSurg Nurse Director cultivates friendly, collaborative nurses and an inclusive interprofessional teampharmacy, PT/OT, case management, respiratory therapy, and social workaligned around standardized protocols, strong physician and APP partnerships, and continuous learning.
