Are you a hands-on maintenance professional who enjoys variety in your workday? We're looking for a dependable Maintenance Technician to maintain a scattered-site affordable housing community consisting of approximately 70 apartment homes, all within walking distance of one another in Worcester.
This position offers a great mix of maintenance and janitorial responsibilities. Approximately 20 hours each week will be dedicated to maintaining clean and welcoming common areas, with the remainder of your time focused on apartment maintenance and resident service requests.
What You'll Do
- Complete work orders, preventative maintenance, apartment turns, and basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs.
- Perform janitorial duties including mopping, vacuuming, cleaning common areas, laundry rooms, hallways, entrances, and removing trash.
- Inspect buildings and grounds to identify maintenance needs and ensure a safe, well-maintained community.
- Troubleshoot maintenance issues independently while providing excellent customer service to residents.
- Assist with seasonal maintenance, property upkeep, and other assigned projects.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all company safety procedures.
What We're Looking For
- Previous apartment or property maintenance experience preferred.
- Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work throughout the day.
- Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to work independently.
- Must provide your own basic hand tools.

Experience Required for Your Success
