Position Description:
Purpose
The Operations Coordinator is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and employees by controlling access to buildings and facilities and monitoring personnel, and vehicles throughout the premises.
Essential Functions*
• Encourage and enforce security, safety, confidentiality and operating, guidelines, policies and procedures
• Greet and check-in visitors and clients and direct to appropriate locations
• Manage access controls and badges
• Coordinate and manage facility traffic
• Monitor video systems and test unit traffic
• Routine patrols to check buildings, grounds, and facilities
• Participate in emergency response procedures
• Complete accurate digital logs of personnel and vehicle movements
• Complete customer support in a timely, error-free manner
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality and customer support

Other Duties and Responsibilities (Non-Essential Functions)
• Conduct safety surveys
• Review test program information
• Record accurate weather information
• Support TRC Inc.’s Quality and EH&S (Environmental, Health, and Safety) efforts
• Monitor facility conditions and propose appropriate modifications to supervisor
• Provide security for special events
• Support facility maintenance activities as needed
Qualifications
• Valid driver’s license
• Basic computer skills including use of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Excellent communication skills
• Able to understand and transmit complex messages
• Able to make quick and reasonable decisions
• Able to recognize safety concerns
• Ability to attend to multiple tasks while maintaining composure
Working conditions
• May be exposed to temperatures below 0 degrees and above 95 degrees
• May be exposed to inclement weather
• May be exposed to hazardous chemicals, such as gas and oil
• May be required to work alone in an isolated environment for extended periods during evening and nighttime conditions
• Standard office, climate controlled environment
Physical requirements
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position for an extended period of time
• Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment
• Ability to communicate with customers and co-workers
• Ability to visually track facility usage
• Able to speak and hear through a radio
• Ability to move objects up to 25 pounds
• Capable of positioning one’s self into bending, stretching, climbing, or awkward positions
• Ability to remain attentive and alert while working alone for 6-10 hours at a time
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle safely on and off of TRC property
