Excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter with manual machining and tooling experience who is looking for an immediately available contract with a global market leading engineering business.
Do you have experience operating manual milling, turning or drilling machines? Have you worked on tooling refurbishment and completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship?
This company are a global engineering manufacturer supplying specialist products to customers worldwide. Due to continued growth they are looking to recruit a Mechanical Fitter to join their Middleton manufacturing facility.
In this role you will assemble and maintain mould tooling, carry out tooling refurbishment, operate manual machine tools including milling, turning and radial arm drills, carry out mould changes and first article inspections where required, and interpret engineering drawings. You'll be working a rotating double days shift pattern with early finishes on Fridays.
The role would suit a Mechanical Fitter with a recognised engineering apprenticeship and experience working with manual machine tools and tooling refurbishment within a manufacturing environment.
The Role:
- Assembly, maintenance and refurbishment of mould tooling
- Operating manual milling, turning and drilling machinery
- Reading engineering drawings and carrying out mould changes
- Rotating double days shift pattern with early finishes on Fridays
- 6 month initial contract with extension and permanent opportunities
The Person:
- Time served engineering apprenticeship (NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds Level 3)
- Mechanical fitting and manual machining experience
- Tooling refurbishment experience
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
