Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift

Location: Houston, TX Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor Cooperates with: Production, Accounting, Sales, Shipping, Vendors Primary Responsibility: Maintaining high on-line availability of custom automated equipment used to assemble substrates that will become catalytic converters; automated & manual equipment and systems used to apply catalytic coatings to those substrates; and other production equipment Responsibilities: Provide hands-on mechanical troubleshooting and service of automated production equipment including: hydraulics, pneumatics, pistons, bearings, gear reducers, and pumpsFit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach servo motors and connect couplings to precise tolerances; mechanical overhaul and adjustment of machinery. Assist in day-to-day support of operators for adjustments, setups, and change overs; demonstrates a willingness to help other team membersProvide electrical troubleshooting and service of AC & DC motors, variable speed drives, electrical panels and wiringProvide electronic troubleshooting and service of actuators and sensorsProvide facility repairs such as, plumbing, carpentry, light electrical repairs, machine PM's, lubrication of production equipmentEquipment repairs on welding machines, forklifts, shears and plate rollers.
