Customer Service Representative

2nd shift 3:30pm-12:00am

JEFFERSONVILLE, IN

$19.00/HR
Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic, reliable, and customer-focused Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join our busy warehousing operation. The CSR will work closely with warehouse clerical staff and the corporate team to support customer service functions, invoice processing, reporting, and day-to-day warehouse administrative operations.

This position requires excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
ResponsibilitiesWarehouse & Administrative Support
  • Monitor product inventories and track load progress.
  • Review factors affecting production and shipping schedules.
  • Enter data daily and prepare time-sensitive reports.
  • Check drivers in and out throughout the day.
  • Print Bills of Lading (BOLs) and outbound shipping details.
  • Obtain shipper release numbers, destination information, and trailer numbers.
  • Assign dock doors to incoming and outgoing drivers.
  • Review invoices for accuracy and assist with accounts receivable tracking.
  • Maintain active files for customers with outstanding invoices.
  • Create and maintain aging receivable reports.
Customer Service
  • Provide exceptional customer service to customers, drivers, vendors, and visitors.
  • Manage customer orders, inventory control, and material handling functions.
  • Handle incoming phone calls, emails, letters, and other correspondence.
  • Assist customers with inquiries and issue resolution.
  • Prepare customer delivery reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Proactively communicate important updates to customers.
Vendor & Supplier Relations
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with existing and potential suppliers.
  • Support cost, quality, and delivery objectives through effective communication and coordination.
QualificationsRequired Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong computer and data entry skills.
  • Ability to enter data accurately and efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Office 365.
  • Experience with AS400 systems.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred (required in some markets).

Physical Requirements
  • Regularly required to communicate verbally and hear clearly.
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, reach, stoop, kneel, and crouch as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Visual abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
Work Environment
  • Standard office environment within a warehouse operation.
  • Frequent use of computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines, and other office equipment.
  • Drug-free workplace.
Language Requirements
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
  • Spanish language skills are preferred.
