Job description

Phlebotomist Job Description Job Title Phlebotomist Job Summary Join a dedicated clinical laboratory team in Portland, Oregon, as a Phlebotomist. This role involves performing essential blood collection procedures for diagnostic testing, supporting patient care across various demographics. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurate and efficient specimen collection, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the process, and contributing to the overall quality of laboratory services. Key Responsibilities Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures on patients of all ages, adhering to established protocols. Accurately identify patients and label specimens according to laboratory and regulatory standards. Process and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis, ensuring specimen integrity and proper handling. Maintain patient comfort and safety during blood collection procedures, utilizing excellent communication skills. Adhere to all safety, infection control, and quality assurance policies and procedures. Document all procedures and patient interactions accurately and completely. Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked work environment. Required Qualifications Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience as a Phlebotomist in a clinical setting. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical laboratory environment. Ability to meet facility-specific requirements. Preferred Qualifications Not specified.
