REHABILITATION ADMINISTRATIVE COORDINATOR
Reports to: Rehabilitation Director
General Purpose
· Supports therapy activities as directed by the Rehabilitation Director and/or supervising therapist; provides administrative support including recordkeeping, maintenance of files, reports and general office duties as directed by the Rehabilitation Director.
· Completion of secondary education (high school)
· Good communication skills
· Self motivated
· Associates degree in a related field
· Demonstrates advanced computer skills
· Assists licensed therapists or assistants during administration of non-skilled treatment as directed
· Transports residents to and from the therapy area
· Performs miscellaneous clerical duties as directed by the Rehabilitation Director including sorting and distributing in-coming and out-going mail, recordkeeping, obtaining appropriate signatures on required records, answering telephone, taking and delivering messages
· Dining rounds daily
· Supports DOR during survey
· Understands the department’s vision and executes
· Well organized and self driven
· Promotes positivity when discussing the facility
· Ensures gym is clean and organized, guides housekeeping as needed
· Ensure maintenance and cleanliness of modalities (Ultrasound, E-stim, Hydrocollator)
· Submit maintenance requests as needed
· Gathering of clinicals, ensures timely completion and submission
· Updates DC calendar
· Enters MRNs in Net Health
· Update room changes in system
· Adds admission payers in Net Health (Verified by DOR)
· Adds last treatment dates to Medicare log and updates after Medicare meeting minutes
· Makes DC list for the next week with DME needed (gathered from treating therapists)
· Attempts to gain participation from residents refusing therapy and brings to gym
· Verifies clarification orders are present in chart
· Monitors equipment par levels
· Assists with team building activities
· Assist with orientation of new staff/per diems (location of supplies, insurance forms, department processes)
· Frequent standing and walking during work periods. Turning, stooping, bending, stretching, crouching, and pushing/pulling, hand/eye coordination and lifting may be involved in treatments of residents. Visual and hearing acuity to detect changes in residents’ conditions and respond to pages. Ability to communicate with residents, families, staff, co-workers, medical personnel, regulatory agencies and consultants.
· Attends all mandatory in-services.
