For over seven decades investor-owned utilities, municipalities, cooperatives, and others have entrusted their electrical construction and maintenance needs to Davis H. Elliot Company, Inc. (Elliot). Elliot is a full-service electrical contractor specializing in overhead and underground distribution, transmission, substations, lighting, traffic signaling, utility locating and industrial/commercial services.
We are seeking well-qualified candidates for the position of Field Safety Director in the Central Region. The Field Safety Director is based in Lexington, KY, and will serve crew members in Kentucky and surrounding states.
The Field Safety Director will provide strategic leadership in the development of safety and training execution in support of a safe and profitable operation that strives to continuously improve safety results. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and sustaining a strong safety and training culture through risk reduction and injury prevention efforts, as well as maintaining compliance to Elliot policies and procedures and applicable federal, state and local regulations.
The Field Safety Director will report to the Safety Supervisor and has the responsibility to execute and document safety and training tasks and initiatives across the region. The successful candidate must work collaboratively with Corporate Safety and Training and Regional Management to identify and lead appropriate initiatives that deliver continuous safety improvement.
Qualifications/Education/Experience Requirements:
The successful candidate must have the ability to organize, plan, delegate, lead, and develop team members through coaching and performance improvement, motivate/effectively influence all levels of the organization, and maintain effective organizational controls.
