As an Assembler, you will be responsible for accurately assembling, preparing, and boxing products for distribution. Your role is essential in ensuring that products meet quality standards and are ready for shipment.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand work order travelers, identifying component quantities required and operations.
• Follow instructions and procedures as detailed in work order travelers.
• Utilize the labor ticket entry system efficiently.
• Perform bench-type assembly, labeling, and packaging of products.
• Report any defective materials or items in questionable condition.
• Complete tasks as directed and adhere to manufacturing schedules.
• Other tasks may be assigned by the management.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in using packaging equipment and preparing labels and shipments.
• Ability to operate hand tools and computers effectively.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of assembly experience.
• Listening and speaking in Spanish is a plus.
• Familiarity with MS Office products is a plus.

Work Environment

This position operates within a manufacturing and warehouse environment. You will be regularly exposed to vibration and occasionally work near moving mechanical parts and at heights. The noise level is typically loud. The shift is from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

This is a Contract position based out of Melville, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
