Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking an experienced Hospitalist Physician for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity in Cleveland, Mississippi.
Built around a dependable 7-on/7-off rotation, this opportunity offers the consistency of a recurring schedule with the flexibility to choose either day or night coverage. Physicians will provide comprehensive adult inpatient care within an established community hospital environment using MEDHOST.

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts

Clinical Scope
This is a true community Hospital Medicine opportunity centered on comprehensive adult inpatient care.
Responsibilities include:

• Daily inpatient rounding
• New patient admissions
• Evaluation and management of acute and chronic medical conditions
• Coordination with the Emergency Department, nursing, consultants and case management
• Development and oversight of inpatient treatment plans
• Discharge planning and clinical documentation
• Stabilization and transfer coordination when a higher level of care is required
• Documentation and order management within MEDHOST

The ideal physician will be comfortable managing a broad adult medical population while practicing with the autonomy and clinical ownership expected in a community hospital setting.

• Adult medical-surgical inpatient care
• Emergency Department admission flow
• ICU and telemetry capability
• Diagnostic imaging and laboratory services
• Pharmacy and respiratory support
• Surgical and rehabilitation resources
• Collaborative multidisciplinary care team
• MEDHOST EMR

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine
• Completion of an Internal Medicine residency
• Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine
• Recent adult Hospital Medicine experience
• Current inpatient rounding and admitting experience
• Active, unrestricted Mississippi medical license strongly preferred
• Active DEA registration
• Current ACLS certification
• Ability to commit to an ongoing 7-on/7-off rotation

Family Medicine physicians may be considered with substantial recent adult hospitalist experience.
