Special Education Pathway Specialist (K-12)

Unlimited Instruction (UI) is seeking a dynamic Pathway Specialist to support Specialty Services programming. The Specialty Service team supports UI by building and implementing sustainable staffing pathways for K-12 roles in education, with a focus on special education and credentialing pathway models.

UI partners with schools to provide students with purposeful learning experiences led by inspirational educators. If you are committed to co-creating and implementing impactful instructional services for school partners to enhance student achievement and build local talent pipelines, apply now.

Responsibilities

In this role, you'll:

  • Operationally manage Specialty Services programs. This may look like:
    • Managing performance data and metrics tied to key performance indicators.
    • Overseeing daily operations within Specialty Services to ensure programs are implemented with fidelity.
    • Handling inquiries, issue resolution, and documentation.
    • Tracking and reporting on program progress and outcomes.
    • Identifying process inefficiencies and implementing improvements.
    • Auditing systems, deliverables, communications, and alignment to education policy for quality assurance.
    • Keeping Specialty Services leadership updated on your work.
  • Collaborate and manage relationships with key internal and external partners to achieve program outcomes. This may look like:
    • Managing client and customer relationships at the district and school level; anticipating and meeting client and customer needs.
    • Serving as a subject matter expert in establishing sustainable pathways for high need roles in K-12 education.
    • Facilitate and organize instructor orientation sessions, training programs, and coaching activities related to Specialty Services programs as needed.
    • Supervise and direct any program staff and instructors supporting your programs.
    • Communicate and meet regularly with your supervisor to update them on program progress and concerns; bring solutions that address challenges.
    • In partnership with UI Recruitment, assign instructors working in Specialty Services programs to placements that meet client needs.
    • Maintain open lines of communication with internal and external partners so UI instructors efficiently complete each milestone in their specified pathway program; this may include qualifying for the program, onboarding, orientation, meeting credentialing milestones, and conversion to district employment.
    • Attend meetings and contribute to their agendas; lead meetings when appropriate.
    • Implement and refine selection models that evaluate applicants' communication skills, professionalism, and overall readiness for program participation; review candidate materials to confirm candidates meet minimum program eligibility requirements based on documentation that may include academic transcripts, institutional accreditation, GPA, licensure history, and active current licenses.
    • Manage all elements of Specialty Services pathway supports; this may include an emphasis on special education supports.
    • Proctor qualifying exams as needed.
    • Make data-informed decisions that support Specialty Services' programs; adapt strategies based on data to meet key performance indicators.
    • Maintain program budgets, projections, and other required compliance requirements.
    • Complete other duties as required and assigned

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • Passion for UI's mission, vision, and values

  • Analyzing data to make informed, strategic decisions
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
