Job description

Student Program Coordinator

Under the supervision of the Living Learning Communities (LLC) Assistant Director, provide program assistance to assigned communities. Duties include: developing and facilitating evening, weekend, in-person, and virtual programs; developing and maintaining faculty partnerships; facilitating marketing initiatives including social media; assisting in assessment; conducting academic intervention; managing application process; and tracking course enrollment.

Minimum Education and Experience - Bachelor's Degree. One (1) or more years related work experience. An equivalent level of education and/or experience is acceptable.

Preferred Education and Experience - Master's degree with 3-5 years experience in Residential Life or Living Learning in a university setting; Experience with student management, assessment and database management, training, faculty relationship building, social media management, video and photo editing, StarRez, and Orion.

Other Qualifications - To the extent this position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 117.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Plan, facilitate, and attend weekend/evening/virtual/in-person student programs: Types of programs include social, academic, and pre-professional. Develop promotional materials for events and student programs. Develop and maintain faculty relationships. Manage 2-3 student staff. Compile various reports including program attendance, faculty involvement, and assessment. Manage application process and audit course enrollment. Serve as a primary point of contact with the Residential Life Coordinator.

Remote Work Notice: After the probationary period, this role may be eligible for a hybrid (partly remote/partly in office) work schedule, subject to business need and manager approval. Must be located within the DFW Area and have the ability to be on campus with 24 hours of notice. A UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required within 14 days after approval. Work Schedule Standard work hours for this position are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work is required to support scheduled events and departmental operations.
