We are seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead nursing operations for a Youth Inpatient Psychiatric Health Facility. This full-time leadership role is ideal for a dedicated RN with strong behavioral health and nursing management experience who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care.
Job Details
- Position: Full-Time, Exempt
- Schedule: 4 weekdays and 1 weekend day
- Core Hours: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM (may vary based on operational needs)
- Setting: Youth Inpatient Behavioral Health Facility
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily nursing operations and ensure high-quality patient care.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise nursing staff in a behavioral health setting.
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards.
- Develop and implement nursing policies, quality improvement initiatives, and patient safety programs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive patient outcomes.

Requirements
Qualifications
- Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Nursing administration experience based on education:
- Associate Degree: 4+ years
- Bachelor's Degree: 2+ years
- Master's Degree: 1+ year
- Minimum 1 year of psychiatric nursing supervisory experience within the past 6 years.
- Minimum 1 year managing and supervising RNs providing patient care in a behavioral health setting within the past 6 years.
- Valid California Driver's License.
- CPR and Pro-ACT certifications (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire).
