Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to support manufacturing operations by leading process improvements, managing capital projects, and optimizing facility performance. This role focuses on increasing operational efficiency, improving production capabilities, and supporting long-term manufacturing strategies through engineering expertise and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment, strong project management skills, and a passion for continuous improvement.
Job Duties:
- Identify, develop, and implement process and capital improvement initiatives that enhance manufacturing efficiency, productivity, and throughput.
- Manage capital expenditures, project budgets, timelines, and engineering performance metrics to ensure successful project execution.
- Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and external contractors to prioritize, schedule, and execute facility and equipment improvement projects.
- Lead engineering projects from planning through implementation while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and provide training to support new equipment, systems, and processes.
- Analyze manufacturing data and key performance indicators to identify opportunities for operational improvements and cost savings.
- Support long-term facility planning by evaluating future equipment, infrastructure, and manufacturing needs.
- Foster a collaborative, safety-focused work environment while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
- Ensure engineering activities comply with applicable food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience managing engineering or capital improvement projects from concept through completion.
- Working knowledge of industrial systems including electrical controls, PLCs, HVAC, boilers, compressors, plumbing, welding, and related manufacturing equipment.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, spreadsheets, CAD software, and data analysis tools.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Ability to travel up to 10% as needed.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and able to lift up to 25 pounds when required.
