In this role customer interface on product quality issues is critical. Strong collaboration skills are necessary to succeed in this role. This is a Temp-Direct job for a Electronics company in Sun Valley, CA.

Responsibilities and Authority: Create and Manage KPI’s
o Rework
o Scrap
o Schedule Adherence
o Customer scorecard
• Maintain the product related procedures, work instructions, and attachments in the QMS. You have the authority to create, edit, and delete documents with Top Management Approval.
• Mentor and coach the quality inspector on basic quality concepts.
• Contact customer quality groups periodically to stay engaged and mitigate possible issues.
• Develop and maintain a customer quality contact rolodex.
• If customer business supplier ethics documents are available, review and distribute them to all team members.
• Track statuses of corrective actions.
• Interface with customers and update/process RMA statuses for the quality department
• Formally train employees on all company certifications
• Ensure Engineering drawing compliance and approve drawings in accordance with ASME standards. (Signature authority for quality approval.)
• Assist with RFQ’s and Contract reviews as needed.
• Supervise First Article Inspection process and submit reports to customers as needed.
• Complete all tasks in Integrify queue weekly.
• After final inspection of products, this position has been assigned the task of scanning the completed production work order packet. The scan will be emailed to relevant team members.

Organizational Relationship: Quality Engineer reports to the Quality Department Head
Education and Training: Any combination of training, education, and/or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job duties successfully and meet business objectives.
