Manual Machine Tool Operator | Tulsa
Job Type: Full-Time | Contract-to-Hire
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (30-minute lunch)
About the Position
We are seeking a Manual Machine Tool Operator to join a growing manufacturing team. This is a hands-on production role responsible for setting up and operating manual and semi-manual machine tools to manufacture precision parts that meet quality specifications.
We're looking for someone who is dependable, safety-conscious, eager to learn, and takes pride in producing quality work. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with room for long-term growth.
Must-Have Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience).
- At least 1 year of machining, manufacturing, or related machine operator experience (or equivalent training).
- Ability to read and follow written work instructions.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to accurately use a tape measure.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work safely around machinery and follow all safety procedures.
- Dependable attendance and a strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate manual and semi-manual machine tools.
- Produce precision-machined parts within required tolerances.
- Inspect finished parts using measuring tools and document results.
- Read and follow work instructions and manufacturing specifications.
- Monitor equipment and report maintenance or safety concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S standards.
- Follow all company safety policies and wear required PPE.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform other production-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.
- Technical or trade school training is a plus.
- Ability to read and follow written instructions.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to accurately use a tape measure.
- Experience reading blueprints is preferred.
- Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers is a plus.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
