We are seeking a skilled Robotics Engineer to design, program, integrate, and maintain robotic and automated manufacturing systems. This position will work closely with engineering, production, maintenance, and operations teams to improve automation, productivity, quality, and overall equipment efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, program, integrate, and troubleshoot industrial robotic systems and automated equipment.
- Develop and optimize robotic programs for manufacturing and material-handling applications.
- Perform robot setup, calibration, programming, and commissioning.
- Integrate robots with PLCs, HMIs, sensors, vision systems, conveyors, and other automation equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and controls-related issues involving robotic systems.
- Develop and modify PLC logic, robot programs, and HMI interfaces as needed.
- Work with engineering and production teams to identify opportunities for automation and process improvements.
- Conduct testing and validation of robotic cells and automated systems.
- Support installation, startup, commissioning, and continuous improvement projects.
- Analyze equipment performance and implement improvements to increase uptime, throughput, and quality.
- Create and maintain electrical schematics, robot programs, documentation, and standard operating procedures.
- Train production and maintenance personnel on the safe operation and troubleshooting of robotic equipment.
- Ensure robotic systems comply with company safety standards and applicable industry regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Robotics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience working with industrial robotics, automation, or controls.
- Experience programming and troubleshooting industrial robots.
- Knowledge of PLC programming and industrial control systems.
- Experience with robotic integration, motion control, sensors, and automated equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and automated production environments.
- Experience with safety systems, machine guarding, and robotic cell safety.
- Strong communication and project-management skills.
Preferred Experience
- FANUC, ABB, KUKA, Yaskawa/Motoman, or similar industrial robots.
- Allen-Bradley/Rockwell or Siemens PLCs.
- Robotic welding, material handling, assembly, palletizing, or machine tending.
- Machine vision systems.
- Servo motors, VFDs, motion control, and robotics.
- AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks, or similar engineering software.
- Experience with robotic simulation or offline programming software.
