Job descriptionThis role will focus on modernizing Ford's CI/CD environment, supporting developer productivity, and driving adoption of AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor AI, and other Generative AI solutions. Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Tekton.
Support the transition from Jenkins to GitHub Actions and Tekton as Ford modernizes its CI/CD platform.
Integrate AI developer tools and enable adoption across the developer community.
Develop dashboards, metrics, and reporting solutions to improve developer productivity.
Define architecture, standards, and best practices for developer enablement platforms.
Collaborate with global engineering teams to improve software delivery processes. Required Skills
6 years total IT experience
Strong CI/CD and DevOps experience with tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Tekton.
Experience with GitHub, automation, and software development lifecycle practices.
Experience supporting enterprise-scale development environments.
Strong communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Skills
AI development tools experience (GitHub Copilot, Cursor AI, Generative AI solutions).
Full-stack/backend development experience with Java (Spring Boot), Go, or Python.
Frontend experience with React, TypeScript, or Angular.
REST API development, API Gateway (Apigee), OAuth2, and JWT security.
Data engineering experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, GCS, BigQuery, Power BI, and DAX.
Experience with Agile, XP practices, continuous delivery, and global software engineering teams. Ideal Candidate
Looking for a software engineer with a strong mix of DevOps, CI/CD modernization, AI developer tooling, and full-stack development experience. Candidates who have helped migrate CI/CD platforms from Jenkins to GitHub Actions/Tekton are highly preferred.
