Role Name - Java Kafka Engineer
Location: Charlotte, NC
Key Responsibilities
Application Development & Architecture
Design and develop enterprise-grade full-stack applications.
Build and maintain microservices using Java 17+, Spring Boot
Design highly scalable RESTful APIs and event-driven systems.
Implement resilient architectures leveraging Kafka and Flink for real-time data processing.
Develop responsive front-end applications using Angular/React.
Streaming & Real-Time Data Processing
Design Kafka topics, partitions, consumer groups, schemas, and message contracts.
Implement Confluent Kafka solutions including:
o Kafka Connect
o Schema Registry
o Stream Processing
o Monitoring and Governance
Develop and optimize Apache Flink streaming jobs for:
o Real-time analytics
o Data transformation
o Event enrichment
o Stateful stream processing
Cloud & DevOps
Design and deploy solutions on AWS.
Work with:
o Lambda
o S3
o RDS
o DynamoDB
o API Gateway
o CloudWatch
o IAM
Build CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or AWS Code Pipeline.
Python Development
Develop Python utilities and automation frameworks.
Build data-processing workflows and batch jobs.
Create operational scripts and monitoring tools.
Performance Engineering
Develop and execute JMeter performance tests.
Identify application bottlenecks.
Tune Kafka consumers/producers.
Required Qualifications
Experience
7 13 years of software engineering experience.
Hands-on working exp with Confluent Kafka and Apache Flink applications
Hands-on AWS development experience
