Join Rocklin Unified School District as a Paraprofessional and play an essential role in supporting student success. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside educators to help students achieve their academic, social, and emotional goals in a positive and inclusive learning environment.
As a valued member of the classroom team, you will collaborate closely with teachers to provide instructional support, encourage student growth, and assist learners with diverse educational needs, including students receiving Special Education services and English Language Learner (ELL) support.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist teachers with classroom instruction, lesson preparation, and educational activities.
• Provide one-on-one and small-group academic support to students.
• Support students with diverse learning needs, including those in Special Education and ELL programs.
• Reinforce classroom expectations and help maintain a structured, positive learning environment.
• Monitor student progress and communicate observations with classroom teachers.
• Assist with classroom administrative duties, including grading, copying, and organizing instructional materials.
• Supervise students during recess, lunch, transitions, and school-sponsored activities, including field trips.
• Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment that supports student success.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or completion of at least 48 college units preferred.
• Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a commitment to student success.
• Ability to follow direction, work collaboratively, and maintain professionalism in a school setting.
Preferred or Required Certifications
Requirements may vary by district.
• Paraprofessional certification or a passing score on a state-approved paraprofessional examination.
• CPR and First Aid certification (may be required upon hire).
