About the Role:
Serenity Counseling Services of Virginia is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) to join our growing team in Richmond, VA. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans under supervision of an LMHP
- Provide direct therapeutic services and crisis intervention to clients
- Monitor and document client progress, updating care plans as clinically appropriate
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, case managers, and community resources to coordinate client care
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with state and agency standards
- Facilitate individual and/or group sessions using evidence-based practices
- Participate in staff meetings, clinical supervision, and ongoing professional development
Requirements:
- Must meet Virginia QMHP eligibility requirements (relevant degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field)
- Experience providing direct mental health services in a clinical or community-based setting
- Knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria and evidence-based treatment modalities
- Strong clinical documentation and case management skills
- Ability to conduct mental health skill building sessions and develop individualized service plans
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and crisis intervention skills
- Active QMHP certification (may be QMHP-Trainee)
