Job description: *Associate Counsel***Buffalo, NY** *Join the legal team of a well-established, publicly traded company headquartered in Buffalo, NY. The role offers meaningful responsibility, exposure to a wide variety of legal matters, and a clear opportunity for professional growth and advancement within the organization.* **Primary Responsibilities* * Provide legal support to multiple business units across the organization with a high degree of autonomy and responsibility. * Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements. * Support ongoing and emerging regulatory compliance initiatives. * Assist with legal matters related to strategic corporate transactions, including acquisitions and integration activities. * Manage and coordinate outside counsel when appropriate. * Partner closely with senior legal leadership and provide legal guidance on a broad range of business issues. *Qualifications* * Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree. * Licensed to practice law in New York or eligible to waive into practice (or preparing to sit for the New York Bar Exam). * Strong analytical, legal writing, contract drafting, and negotiation skills. * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments. *Preferred Qualifications* * Three or more years of legal experience; exceptional recent law graduates are encouraged to apply. * Licensed in Ohio or willing to obtain admission through reciprocity or examination. * Participation in law review, moot court, judicial clerkships, journals, or other notable academic achievements. *Why This Opportunity?*This position offers the chance to join a stable, publicly traded organization where attorneys are encouraged to take ownership of their work, build strong relationships with business leaders, and develop their careers.
