Job Overview
Seattle Preparatory School is seeking a meticulous and highly organised Data Entry Clerk to join our administrative team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and accuracy of our school's data systems. This position requires an individual with exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to handling sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality. As a key support member, you will ensure our records are up-to-date and readily accessible, contributing directly to the smooth operation of our educational institution.
Responsibilities
- Accurately and efficiently enter various forms of data, including student records, attendance information, and academic results, into our databases and administrative systems.
- Verify the accuracy of data by comparing it to source documents and identifying any discrepancies.
- Perform regular reviews of data to correct errors, remove duplicates, and ensure overall consistency.
- Maintain and update existing records to reflect the most current information.
- Generate reports and retrieve data for various departments as requested.
- Uphold strict confidentiality protocols when handling sensitive student and staff information.
- Assist with general administrative tasks to support the wider school office team.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a data entry, data processing, or similar administrative role.
- Excellent typing speed and a high degree of accuracy are essential.
- Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, with particular expertise in Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with database management software and information systems.
- Exceptional organisational skills and a keen eye for detail.
- The ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A high level of integrity and the ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
- Previous experience in an educational or school environment is highly desirable but not essential.
