Finance Specialist
New Direction Trust Company is looking for a detail-oriented, adaptable Finance Specialist to support our Finance and Account Maintenance teams.
This is not a repetitive, one-function Finance role. It is an opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, wants to learn multiple areas of the business, and takes pride in being the person others can count on. You will support deposits, depository billing, accounts receivable, fee processing, and account maintenance while building broad financial operations experience.
What You'll Do
- Process check deposits and check stop-payment requests.
- Serve as a backup for ACH and wire deposit processing.
- Review depository invoices for accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Invoice clients for applicable depository storage fees.
- Track outstanding vendor invoices, client billing, and payments.
- Communicate with depository partners regarding invoices and payment questions.
- Track accounts receivable balances and assist with outstanding items.
- Process approved fee waivers and maintain supporting documentation.
- Cross-train on Account Maintenance processes and provide backup support.
- Assist with reconciliations, reporting, special projects, and other operational priorities.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in finance, banking, accounts receivable, accounting support, or financial operations is preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to manage changing priorities and follow assignments through completion.
- Strong organizational, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Professional communication skills and confidence working with vendors and internal partners.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to handle confidential client and financial information appropriately.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; a related associate or bachelor's degree is preferred.
