Instructor, CISCO
Instructs and develops curriculum for courses within the Information Technology function in Tri-C's Workforce Innovation.
The ability to teach CISCO courses within the following subjects:
- Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP) or
- Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert (CCIE) w/routing and switching portion
- Cisco Certified Voice-over IP (CCVP) or Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert (CCIE) w/voice-over IP portion
- Cisco Certified Networking Professional (CCNP) or Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert (CCIE) w/routing and switching portion
- Cisco Certified Security Professional (CCSP) or Cisco Certified
- Internetworking Expert (CCIE) w/security portion
Prepares and delivers learning activities in order to achieve course outcomes
Prepares course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts
Evaluates and grades students' class work and assignments
Provides coaching to individual students as necessary
Performs other duties as assigned
Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
Significant related experience may substitute for education
Minimum of two years of demonstrated experience in the Information Technology industry
3-5 years industry and/or classroom experience, teaching in their area of Cisco expertise
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Advanced communication (verbal, written, and interpersonal) and organizational skills
Sensitivity to respond appropriately to the needs of the community
Proven background in providing dynamic instruction with the ability to integrate industry, professional, and life experiences into a classroom learning environment in either large or small groups

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
Industry Certification in one more of the following programs:
- Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP)
- Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert (CCIE)

- Cisco Certified Voice-over IP (CCVP)
- Cisco Certified Security Professional (CCSP)
The work is performed in a normal, professional office environment
The work area is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated
Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the duties of the job and will perform repetitive motions with hands/fingers using a computer mouse and keyboard to type. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, files, pamphlets, books, etc.
Work may also require walking and standing in conjunction with travel to and attendance at meetings and conferences away from the worksite
Special Note: This is a Part-Time Non-Bargaining Unit Position, with the following Set Rate of Pay: $65.00/ hour.
If hired, you must reside in the state of Ohio and be within commuting distance of this work location/campus to respond to onsite work demands upon the employment start date and throughout the duration of your employment with the College, as outlined in 3354:1-40-01.1 Recruitment and Selection Procedure.
