Education Requirements
Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience will be considered. Additional HR, payroll, or administrative certifications are a plus.
Experience Requirements
3+ years of experience in Human Resources, Payroll, Office Management, Administrative Support, or Employee Relations. Experience with HRIS, payroll, timekeeping, or employee management systems preferred. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Excellent organizational, communication, problem-solving, and confidentiality skills. Experience supporting manufacturing, production, or plant operations is a plus.
Physical Capabilities
Ability to work in an office environment for extended periods. Frequently sit, stand, walk, bend, and perform computer-based tasks. Ability to lift and carry office supplies and files up to 25 pounds as needed. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Job Duties
Manage daily office operations, document management, filing, mail distribution, and purchasing activities. Coordinate employee onboarding, orientation, personnel records, training documentation, and compliance requirements. Process payroll support functions, maintain attendance and vacation records, administer benefits, 401(k) programs, and garnishments. Reconcile benefit invoices and respond to employee questions regarding payroll, benefits, and company policies. Track recruiting activities, interviews, performance reviews, promotions, and employee separations. Maintain OSHA logs and HR compliance records. Prepare reports including attendance, production, purchasing, training, efficiency, scrap, and labor metrics. Support leadership with meetings, reporting, special projects, and administrative initiatives.
