Description:


Under general supervision, we are seeking an experienced and compassionate Bilingual Lead Clinician to provide oversight, supervision, and direct care within our behavioral health program. This role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed, and culturally competent clinical services to children, adolescents, and families in our care. Bilingual Spanish is required.


The Lead Clinician provides both direct therapeutic services and clinical supervision to a team of mental health professionals, ensuring compliance with all applicable standards and licensing requirements.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy services in accordance with clinical best practices and client treatment plans.
  • Lead clinical team meetings and case conferences; ensure continuity and quality of care across all cases.
  • Offer clinical supervision and guidance to therapists, interns, and case managers, in compliance with licensure supervision requirements.
  • Review and approve clinical documentation, treatment plans, and assessments to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate services and advocate for the needs of children and families.
  • Monitor clinical outcomes, treatment fidelity, and client progress to ensure effectiveness of services.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support, as needed.
  • Support staff development through ongoing training, mentoring, and performance feedback.
  • Participate in audits, licensing reviews, and quality assurance processes.
  • Stay informed of changes in state and federal regulations, evidence-based practices, and ethical standards.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation in compliance with organizational, state, and federal standards.
  • Maintain a welcoming environment for families and other community partners.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and PII privacy and security requirements.
  • As with all of our positions, we work as a team and various duties may be assigned at any time including tasks to support other AGH programs/services, cleaning, organizing, child care, attending to the needs of the child in your care or in the office, attendance at meetings, transportation, paperwork, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Reporting To: Program Director


Hiring Rate of Pay: $90,000 per year


Requirements:


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Master’s or Doctorate degree in psychology, social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related behavioral health field from an accredited college or university.
  • Clinical degree program must have included a supervised practicum or internship as a graduation requirement.
  • At least 2 years of post-graduate, direct service clinical experience delivering therapeutic services to children, adolescents, or families.
  • Current, unrestricted clinical license to practice in the state where the care provider is located (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, LPC, Psychologist).
  • Minimum of 1 year supervisory or leadership experience in a clinical or behavioral health setting.
  • Bilingual Spanish required.
  • Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care, evidence-based practices, and child/adolescent development.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and support a clinical team in a high-demand environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in clinical documentation and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Be able to obtain Criminal and Child Abuse Clearance from the State of California/Department of Justice.
  • Must be available full-time and able to adjust work day/work week to provide services when clients and families need them, which can routinely include evenings and occasionally weekends, in order to ensure coordination and continuity of services.
  • Demonstrate the Understanding of the importance of compliance with HIPAA privacy practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, strong conflict resolution, communication and organizational skills; with great attention to detail.
  • Ability to adhere to our attendance and punctuality policy.
  • Must pass and remain current in CPR/First Aid.
  • Must be able to effectively utilize computers and basic computer software.
  • Must meet Licensing (or contract if not FFA position) and insurance requirements.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License and a good driving record. Must be at least 18 years old with at least 2 years of driving experience.
  • A Greater Hope includes all employees in the DMV pull notification process, notifying AGH of infractions throughout the process.
  • All Employees are required to report all arrests within 48 hours of arrest as per Licensing requirements.
  • Must pass a drug screen, physical exam, and Tuberculosis skin test.
  • A Greater Hope participates in E-Verify and will verify your Social Security Number.
  • Foster Family Agency experience preferred. (if applicable)

Additional Qualifications

This position is funded through a federal cooperative agreement. Continued employment is contingent upon continued grant funding, federal/agency approval (when applicable), and continued compliance with all federal/agency, licensing, and A Greater Hope personnel requirements.


As a condition of employment, the successful candidate must:

  • Meet all minimum qualifications established by federal/agency and A Greater Hope for the position.
  • Successfully obtain and maintain a Federal/Agency Suitability Determination, including all required background investigations and clearances, prior to having contact with unaccompanied children.
  • Successfully complete all required criminal history background checks, child abuse and neglect registry checks, fingerprint-based clearances, and other background screenings required by federal/agency, Community Care Licensing (CCL), and A Greater Hope.
  • Successfully complete all required pre-service, onboarding, annual, and ongoing training within required timeframes.
  • Demonstrate the ability to provide trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and child-centered services to unaccompanied children.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required for positions designated as bilingual and may be verified through A Greater Hope's language proficiency assessment process.
  • Provide documentation of all required immunizations and authorize A Greater Hope to obtain and verify immunization records through the California Immunization Registry (CAIR), as applicable.
  • Successfully complete and maintain all required health screenings, physical examinations, tuberculosis (TB) clearance, immunizations, vaccinations, and other medical requirements established by federal/agency, Community Care Licensing (CCL), applicable law, or A Greater Hope policy.
  • Maintain all required licenses, certifications, registrations, and credentials applicable to the position throughout employment.
  • Comply with all applicable federal/agency policies, federal regulations, state laws, licensing requirements, accreditation standards, confidentiality requirements, and A Greater Hope policies and procedures as a condition of employment.
  • Possess and maintain authorization to work in the United States. Positions requiring transportation duties must maintain a valid driver's license, an acceptable driving record, and insurability under A Greater Hope's automobile insurance policy.

There are physical demands associated with this position. The employee must also be able to remain in a seated position while working in the office. Employees may be required to and must often lift or carry items 10-50 lbs., usually holding it in the hands or arms or on the shoulder. There may be situations where the employee will have to care for the personal needs of infants and children such as managing personal accidents/bathroom support, feeding and, cleaning up infants and children. The employee may be working outside for periods of time in all seasons of weather.


Employees will be required to drive a motor vehicle.


This position requires regular and consistent attendance, excessive unplanned absences are disruptive to our Agency business.

Therefore, each employee must at all times be emotionally stable and able to function effectively with children, adolescents and adults who may have mental or behavioral health problems. The staff must be able to demonstrate appropriate daily behavior, appropriate expression of emotions, as well as appropriate role modeling. Hostility, aggression and unnecessary or inappropriate physical actions as well as inappropriate emotional expression are not acceptable.
