Job description

Salary: $105,000 - 123,000 per year

Requirements:

  • We need at least 7 years of relevant experience in a DevSecOps Analyst, Systems Administrator, Platform Analyst, or comparable position.
  • We are looking for experience supporting technical delivery in cloud, platform, API, integration, or secure government environments.
  • We require familiarity with AWS cloud environments and cloud operations principles.
  • We require familiarity with Red Hat Linux administration.
  • We require familiarity with Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar infrastructure tools.
  • We require familiarity with DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, version control, deployment workflows, and release coordination.
  • We need strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication abilities.
  • You must be able to work independently in a remote setting while coordinating across distributed technical and non-technical teams.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • An active Secret clearance is required, and you must be able to obtain and maintain one.
  • Preferred experience includes support for Department of Defense, Navy, or federal government programs.
  • Preferred experience includes API authentication and authorization patterns such as OAuth, client credentials, JWT, certificates, API keys, or token-based access.
  • Preferred experience includes AWS GovCloud or other secure government cloud environments.
  • Preferred experience includes RMF, ATO, IATT, NIST controls, STIG compliance, vulnerability management, or security compliance documentation.
  • Preferred experience includes Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, SharePoint, Git, or similar collaboration and delivery tools.
  • Preferred experience includes Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or similar automation tools.
  • Preferred familiarity with monitoring, logging, observability, access management, and operational support processes.
  • Preferred familiarity with Kubernetes configuration and administration.
  • Preferred experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including API Manager, Exchange, Runtime Manager, Design Center, or related capabilities.
  • Preferred certifications include Security+, AWS, MuleSoft, Terraform, Linux/Red Hat, Agile/Scrum, or related credentials.

Responsibilities:

  • We will rely on you to administer, monitor, troubleshoot, and sustain cloud-based platform environments.
  • You will assist with AWS environment setup, access administration, deployment readiness, and operational support.
  • You will support Infrastructure as Code work using Terraform or similar tools.
  • You will coordinate with DevSecOps engineers on CI/CD pipelines, deployment activities, configuration management, and release support.
  • You will help document environment needs, access prerequisites, operational dependencies, and platform readiness criteria.
  • You will assist with issue triage related to cloud access, environments, configuration, deployments, and platform behavior.
  • You will participate in security and compliance support tasks, including evidence collection, vulnerability tracking, remediation coordination, and RMF/ATO documentation as needed.
  • You will contribute to system hardening for ATO support, including ACAS scan remediation and STIG compliance.

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to support a secure government digital platform. This is a remote role, and the strongest candidate will be a technically capable systems administrator who can comfortably work across platform operations, understand AWS and Terraform discussions, document requirements and assumptions, and troubleshoot and triage issues. The compensation range is $105,000 to $123,000 per year, and our benefits include 401(k), 401(k) matching, dental insurance, health insurance, paid time off, and vision insurance.
