Job Description:
As an Oracle PL/SQL Developer, you will support the modernization of critical enterprise applications by migrating legacy Oracle PL/SQL Web Toolkit applications to Oracle APEX. You will develop, enhance, and maintain secure, scalable database-driven solutions while supporting data modernization initiatives and ensuring compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Migrate legacy Oracle PL/SQL Web Toolkit applications to Oracle APEX.
- Design, develop, and maintain Oracle database objects, packages, procedures, and functions.
- Develop and optimize complex SQL and PL/SQL code for performance and scalability.
- Build and support Oracle APEX applications and user interfaces.
- Develop integrations using RESTful and SOAP web services.
- Implement modern JavaScript and jQuery-based functionality within APEX applications.
- Support data modernization and migration initiatives for enterprise systems.
- Ensure application security, data privacy, and regulatory compliance standards are met.
- Troubleshoot application, database, and integration issues across environments.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:
- Strong experience with Oracle Database 11g, 18c, and/or 19c.
- Extensive expertise in SQL and PL/SQL development.
- Hands-on experience developing applications using Oracle APEX.
- Experience with Oracle PL/SQL Web Toolkit and legacy application modernization.
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript and/or jQuery development.
- Experience developing and consuming RESTful and SOAP web services.
- Experience with database design, performance tuning, and query optimization.
- Knowledge of secure application development and data protection best practices.
- Experience supporting enterprise data modernization and migration initiatives.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
The hourly range for roles of this nature are $40.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
