Requirements / Qualifications
Internal Applicants: Although an EDJOIN application is the only requirement for internal applicants it is recommended that you include all items listed to allow all panel members a complete view of your qualifications and background. Must currently have or must obtain CPR/First Aid certification within 30 days of employment. Paid or volunteer experience in the teaching, care, and assistance with students with special needs. Pursuant to current Ed. Code 45330, this position requires one of the following to qualify for the position: 1. Completion of 60 Semester Units (2 years of study) at an institution of higher education 2. Possession of an Associate's Degree or Higher 3. Passing of a local assessment in Reading/Writing and Mathematics (which will be conducted on the day of the interview) a. Math knowledge will consist of basic fractions, percentages, word problems, etc.. (equal to that of a high school student requirement) b. Reading/Writing will consist of comprehension, proper language, etc (equal to that of a high school student requirement) If hired, must provide proof of a valid California Driver's License
