Job description

Research Coordinator II - College of Nursing

The University of Florida College of Nursing seeks a Research Coordinator II to support SURVIBENE-LT, a five-year NIH/NIDDK-funded, multi-site research study focused on improving liver transplantation decision-making and patient outcomes. Working under the direction of the Principal Investigator, this position will coordinate day-to-day research operations, support collaboration among project partners, maintain study documentation, facilitate regulatory and administrative activities, and assist with project implementation and reporting. The role is integral to advancing innovative, data-driven research that leverages clinical data, artificial intelligence, and patient-centered outcomes. This is a 0.50 FTE, grant-funded position expected to continue for the duration of the project. Coordinate day-to-day activities across UF, the University of Minnesota, the Cleveland Clinic, and external collaborators.

Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Project planning, implementation, and milestone management
  • Develop and maintain project timelines, milestone trackers, work plans, meeting schedules, deliverable logs, and action-item trackers. Monitor progress across study aims and participating sites, identify delays or operational risks, and communicate concerns and recommend next steps promptly to Dr. Pruinelli.
  • Multisite coordination, meetings, and communication
  • Coordinate day-to-day project activities among the University of Florida, the University of Minnesota, the Cleveland Clinic, consultants, advisory groups, and other external collaborators. Organize project, workgroup, advisory-panel, and site meetings; prepare agendas and materials; document decisions; distribute meeting records; and monitor follow-up activities.
  • Regulatory, data-access, and personnel coordination
  • Track IRB, data-access, data-use agreement, privacy, training, and study-documentation requirements across participating sites. Assist with personnel onboarding, required training documentation, system and data-access requests, and maintenance of regulatory and study records.
  • Financial, administrative, and NIH reporting support
  • Support monitoring of project budgets, subawards, purchasing, travel, and expenditures in coordination with the Principal Investigator and research administration. Maintain organized files and supporting documentation for NIH progress reports, audits, publications, presentations, and other dissemination activities.
  • Advisory, engagement, dissemination, and site activities
  • Coordinate advisory-panel, ethics, patient-engagement, dissemination, and site-visit activities. Assist with scheduling, materials, documentation, follow-up, and communication with participating stakeholders.

Expected Salary: $30,000-$35,000 annually; commensurate within this range based on qualifications and experience.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in health sciences, public health, nursing, research administration, project management, informatics, or another appropriate field and two years of relevant research or project coordination experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred: Master's degree in a relevant field. Experience coordinating NIH-funded, federally funded, or multisite research. Knowledge of research administration, IRB processes, data-use agreements, regulatory documentation, and institutional research procedures. Experience developing and maintaining project plans, milestones, budgets, meeting documentation, and progress reports. Strong written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, exercise sound judgment, and follow projects through completion. Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams that include clinicians, researchers, data scientists, administrators, patients, and external institutions. Familiarity with transplantation, clinical research, health informatics, artificial intelligence, or electronic health record data is desirable but not required.

Special Instructions to Applicants: This is a Time-Limited position. In order to be considered, you must upload your cover letter and resume. Application must be submitted by 11:55 p.m. (ET) of the posting end date.

Health Assessment Required: No
