Current substitute teacher rates are as follows: Assignment Rationale Daily Rate Day to Day All Substitute Assignments, (Excluding Retired VUSD Teachers) $200 Long Term After the 10th day of a consecutive school day in the same assignment (Including Retired VUSD Teachers on Day One) $210 District Substitute District Assigned Daily Roving Substitute. $200 Special Ed assignments $235
