Job description
Job Title Pharmacist Job Summary This is a 13-week contract opportunity for an experienced Pharmacist in Lincoln City, Oregon. The successful candidate will join a dynamic healthcare facility, providing essential pharmaceutical services to a diverse patient population. Responsibilities will include accurate medication dispensing, comprehensive patient counseling, and proactive collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and medication safety. Key Responsibilities Dispense medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper labeling and dosage. Provide comprehensive medication counseling to patients regarding drug indications, side effects, and proper administration. Monitor drug therapy for appropriateness, effectiveness, and potential adverse reactions or interactions. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care plans. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. Participate in drug utilization review and quality improvement initiatives. Required Qualifications Active Pharmacist license in the state of Oregon. Minimum of 1-2 years of recent clinical pharmacy experience. Preferred Qualifications Not specified. Skills & Competencies Strong clinical knowledge of pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacotherapeutics. Proficiency in medication dispensing systems and pharmacy software.
