Position Summary
The Services Coordinator's primary role is to coordinate BCAP's food pantry services and front desk operations. Qualified candidates will need to demonstrate experience with providing customer service, an empathetic approach to individuals of all backgrounds, and organizational and time management skills. This position reports to the Executive Director and attends staff meetings, regular supervision, and assigned community partner meetings. This position is full-time at 40 hours per week, non-exempt, and located at the Boulder office. This position will require some evening and weekend hours, and travel throughout BCAP's service area. Bilingual Spanish and English language skills are preferred, with $50 bilingual stipend per pay period. This job description does not list the exclusive responsibilities of this position, and the Executive Director and Associate Director may assign other duties as necessary.
Duties and Responsibilities
Food Pantry Operations
Manages food pantry inventory and assists with budget spenddown
Provides food pantry shops to clients
Provides home deliveries to clients
Completes daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning in compliance with food safety regulations
Tracks data for food pantry utilization and assists with reporting
Trains, coordinates, and supervises volunteers to assist with food pantry services
Front Desk Operations
Completes opening and closing procedures of the BCAP Boulder office daily
Answers the agency door/phone, assesses guests' needs, and assists guests
Maintains indoor/outdoor common areas as appropriate for guests
Trains, coordinates, and supervises volunteers to assist with front desk and agency operations
Provides coverage for harm reduction services as needed
Required Qualifications
Minimum of associate's degree
Minimum of two years' work experience in customer service or public facing role
Experience in HIV services, public health, or community-based nonprofit work
Experience working with marginalized and disproportionately impacted communities
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Programs
Ability to work at a computer for 1-2 hours
Ability to routinely lift 30-50 lbs. and function in a physically demanding job
Access to reliable transportation
