Job description

Senior Community Resource Coordinator (CRC)

Maximus is seeking a Senior Community Resource Coordinator (CRC) to support community resource coordination, peer mentoring, and service member and family well-being programs across the Special Operations Forces (SOF) enterprise. The Senior CRC serves as a liaison and advisor between USSOCOM, Component CRCs, command leadership, multidisciplinary teams, and service providers to assess needs, align resources, evaluate program effectiveness, and recommend policy and procedural improvements. This role supports programs intended to improve quality of life, reduce stigma associated with help-seeking behaviors, strengthen peer support, and contribute to suicide prevention efforts within the USSOCOM community.

This position is pending upon contract award. It requires active secret clearance at minimum.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and upkeep a comprehensive statewide community outreach and engagement strategy, integrating insights gathered from internal teams, project leadership, the client, and diverse stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the conception, creation, execution, and administration of expansive outreach, educational, and enrollment initiatives.
  • Manage the training, guidance, and growth of supervisory personnel.
  • Supervise Field Staff to ensure seamless operations.
  • Act as a liaison between the client, various agencies, and the organization.
  • Champion the project's image and objectives through public speaking engagements and professional presentations at local levels.
  • Provide oversight to the Community Relations Department when the Community Relations Senior Manager is absent.

Serve as the liaison between USSOCOM and Component CRCs, applying a collaborative team approach to assess, plan, implement, coordinate, and monitor community and peer mentoring programs.

Advise and consult on broad policy and procedural reviews for region-wide and component-wide community and peer mentoring programs; evaluate program effectiveness and recommend improvements.

Work with Echelon III commands to assess needs, evaluate effectiveness, and support implementation of community resource and peer support programs.

Support planning, execution, and continuous improvement of peer mentorship programs in coordination with Operations Officers, command leadership, family support coordinators, and other stakeholders.

Coordinate with Service representatives, multidisciplinary professional staff, and service providers within the Services, DoW, and civilian sector to align programs, evaluate utilization, and identify improvement opportunities.

Assist in training peer mentors, including travel to Component locations as needed to meet with new volunteers, staff, and supported commands.

Provide consultation and training to CRCs and related component-level personnel throughout the Component Commands.

Serve as the communication link between component-level CRCs and HQ USSOCOM; aggregate, prepare, and submit formal reports using input from CRCs and command leadership.

Routinely coordinate with Service, DoW, and civilian programs, including family and social service agencies, chaplains, benevolent or charitable organizations, and other support resources.

Provide force-wide and region-wide training and consultation while supporting staff activities at a General Officer (GO) or Flag Officer (FO) level command and working with Component POTFF Directors.

Document services in HP enterprise-wide platforms, such as HPDMS, as directed by USSOCOM Directive 10-12.

Perform other duties as assigned by local leadership, with additional taskings documented and approved through local POTFF leadership as required.

Minimum Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 5+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Bachelor's degree in education, human or social services, or a related field; or four (4) years of experience providing social service education or work/family life consultation or coordination services.

Minimum of four (4) years of experience coordinating social service education programs.

Have, or be willing to receive, specialized training in peer support counseling, community resources and referrals, and suicide prevention.

Maintain current knowledge of DoW, Services, and community-sponsored resources intended to promote the well-being of service members and their families.

Ability to coordinate across military, government, community, and civilian service provider networks.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare formal reports and provide training or consultation to component-level stakeholders.

Maximus is an equal opportunity employer. We evaluate qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, disability, veteran status, genetic information and other legally protected characteristics.

Minimum Salary: $73,950

Maximum Salary: $105,850
