Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour (2nd shift receives a $1.00 shift differential)
1st Shift: 6am-2:30pm
2nd Shift: 2pm-10:30pm
Worker may need to stay past their shift time if the work is not completed. Please be flexible to work either shift as assigned.
What’s a typical day as Material Handler? You’ll be:
- Assisting in plant and warehouse operations, including seed count, bagging, and treating processes
- Operating both manual and automated seed count and bagging equipment
- Tracking and maintaining accuracy of seed/lbs, bag weights, inventory, and treater accuracy
- Entering plant monitoring data for treating and packaging
- Monitoring packaging and treatment processes for quality and efficiency
- Performing general repairs on bag placers, baggers, treaters, and palletizers
- Participating in cleanup of treating and bagging areas
- Assisting with carryover blending processes and inventory counts
- Meeting all safety requirements and participating in safety programs
- Completing other duties as assigned by management
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Have a High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Bring at least 2 years’ experience in manufacturing, seed production, ginning, seed conditioning, or relevant farm/mechanical work
- Understand and apply OSHA’s Lockout Tagout (LOTO), Confined Space Entry (CSE), and other key safety requirements
- Possess strong mechanical abilities and communication skills
- Can work effectively in a team environment
- Are physically able to handle 50lb bags and perform manual tasks as needed
- Are flexible to work either 1st or 2nd shift and stay late as needed to complete work
