This is a professional position with a high level of responsibility with the Northeast Region Adult Services Program Office that involves planning, staff development, community outreach, management, and quality assurance activities. The person occupying this position works closely with other departmental staff and community representatives. This position's duties and functions are carried out in conformity with statewide policies and procedures to assure compliance with applicable federal and state laws, rules, and regulations. This position requires expertise in training, management, monitoring, and administration of Adult Protective Services Programs with extensive knowledge of Adult Protective Services concepts and programs, federal and state laws, rules, and regulations. Travel within the region are required. Work is performed under the supervision of the Region Program Supervisor.
Knowledge of social, economic, rehabilitation or health care service objectives. Knowledge of methods of compiling, organizing, and analyzing data. Ability to develop manuals, policies, procedures, standards, and rules. Ability to develop methods for monitoring and evaluating quality of service and compliance with rules, policies and statutes. Ability to review and evaluate plans and programs. Ability to identify improvements and adjustments needed to insure program effectiveness and efficiency. Ability to establish and maintain liaison with other agencies. Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Ability to utilize computer systems and work in a paperless environment.
Minimum Qualifications: Experience in Adult Protective Investigations Operations as an Adult Protective Investigation, Senior API, HSC3 and/or APS Supervisory positions. A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and four years of professional experience in health, social, economic or rehabilitative programs preferred. Professional or nonprofessional experience as required above can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.
