Job details:

Position: Endoscopy Technician (Allied) $$SN$$
Location: CHA Somerville Campus, Somerville, Massachusetts
Shift: Days – 10-hour shifts
Duration: 13 weeks

Schedule: Sunday – Saturday
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
Local Candidates: Accepted within 50 miles (Local rate applies: $8 less than posted rate)

Job Duties

• Provide endoscopy technician support in an outpatient GI center focused on elective procedures.

• Assist with colonoscopy and endoscopy procedures, including room setup, equipment preparation, and procedure support.

• Support patient care for adult populations ages 18–95, including colon cancer screenings and rectal bleeding evaluations.

• Assist with pre-op, procedure room, and PACU workflow across 4 procedure rooms, 5 pre-op bays, and 5 PACU bays.

• Float as required within the department.

• Maintain compliance with department protocols, infection prevention standards, and holiday requirements.

• Document care and utilize EMR systems (Epic experience preferred).

Requirements

• AHA BLS certification required.

• SGNA certification preferred.

• Minimum 2+ years of recent Endoscopy Technician experience required.

• Travel experience must be documented (first-time travelers may be considered).

• Two recent manager/supervisor references matching specialty required.

• Specialty-specific skills checklist required.

• Valid driver’s license with address matching submitted demographics.

• Must be willing to work every other major holiday.

• Flu vaccine required during flu season.

• EMR experience preferred: Epic.
