What began in 1924 as Alfred Fain’s small Rhode Island tire store has grown into a global custom compounder serving customers around the world. Still privately held and led by the founder’s grandson, Teknor Apex operates nine U.S. sites with additional facilities in Belgium, Singapore, Germany, and China. Our family ownership fuels long-term relationships—with employees and customers alike—that power better, customized material solutions.
