HR Manager
Under the direction of the HRD, the HR Manager maintains and enhances the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs and practices. Oversee employee onboarding, development, needs assessment, and training to ensure employee engagement and high retention. Acts as a resource to department leaders providing HR guidance on employment, employee relations, compensation, benefits and retention. Has the ability to investigate and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations. Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation. Partners with the HRD provide guidance and input on restructures, workforce planning and succession planning. Identifies training needs for teams and individual coaching needs. Participates in evaluation and monitoring of success of training programs. Supervises HR staff. Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Ensure employee Leaves of Absence are tracked and processed in accordance with facility/company guidelines and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications:
Education/Training/Experience:
Experience: 8 years of continuing advanced responsibilities in Human Resources service disciplines. Healthcare experience strongly preferred. 3 years management or supervisory experience highly preferred. Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, federal and state respective employment laws. Experience in California wage and hour strongly preferred.
Education: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university required.
