Systems Engineer

Salary: $135,000 - 155,000 per year

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline
• At least 5 years of experience in systems engineering, software/hardware integration, or a similar technical area
• Solid grasp of system architecture, integration, and testing workflows
• Experience maintaining technical documentation and configuration records
• Ability to carry out performance and reliability assessments for complex systems
• Strong problem-solving, planning, and communication abilities
• Capability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-moving environment
• Prior background in transportation software and hardware
• Familiarity with enterprise applications and deployment practices is preferred

Responsibilities:

• Support the definition of software and hardware products and interfaces in CAD/AVL and fare collection
• Coordinate system development activities, including design, integration, and formal verification
• Manage transitions into customer deployment environments
• Plan and execute projects covering system specifications, technical and logistical requirements, and related disciplines
• Produce and maintain program and technical documentation such as design documents, requirement matrices, and system diagrams
• Track and document system configurations
• Ensure solutions are deployed successfully
• Maintain working knowledge of enterprise applications
• Perform performance and reliability analysis of end-to-end protocols
• Assist with additional duties as needed by the Systems Engineering department
• Provide training and support to Associates and Project Engineer I/II team members as needed
