Position Overview The Fairgrounds Maintenance Worker helps maintain the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of the Fairgrounds and surrounding county properties.
This hands-on role combines outdoor maintenance, custodial duties, and light equipment operation. The position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Early morning or late-night shifts may be required based on event schedules.
Compensation $38,500.00 Essential Functions Knowledge and Skills Ability to work independently and follow verbal and written instructions.

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
Comfortable with physical labor and working outdoors in all weather.
Ability to maintain physical activity for extended periods of time (setting up tables, chairs and panels) Custodial and Janitorial Duties Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors in buildings and restrooms.
Clean, sanitize and stock restrooms and break rooms, including sinks, toilets, and floors.
Empty trash and recycling containers.
Dust and wipe down surfaces, furniture, and fixtures.
Wash windows, walls, and clean entrance glass and doors.
Grounds and Facility Maintenance Mow, edge and weed grounds to maintain landscape appearance.
Set up rooms with tables, chairs and other equipment as needed .
Pick up litter and debris on county properties, especially during and after events.
Clear entrances and walkways to ensure safety and accessibility.
Vehicle and Equipment Operation Operate commercial and light maintenance equipment such as mowers, tractors, forklift and floor scrubbers. Perform minor equipment maintenance and report any safety issues or mechanical failures.
