Program Registrar
This position primarily serves as the "program(s) registrar" for the School of Dentistry, communicating with the UofL Registrar's Office, Bursar's Office, Office of Academic Planning and Accountability, and the Graduate School regarding students, curriculum, tuition and fees, class scheduling and faculty. Also provides faculty with support in curriculum, syllabus management, course grading and academic matters.
Essential duties and responsibilities include serving as custodian for the official academic records of all students following matriculation through degree conferral, monitoring grade rosters and processes grade changes, registering student cohorts for classes through the UofL Registrar's office, verifying the accuracy of honors and degree referrals, organizing and facilitating the Awards Program, monitoring course shell creation on Blackboard, participating in template development for syllabi, monitoring access to and faculty evaluations for course directors, ensuring that course schedules, room and faculty assignments are accurately recorded in PeopleSoft and communicated to the Registrar's Office, maintaining the course inventory for the School of Dentistry, serving as the Exam Soft Administrator, updating ULSD Bulletin and participating in team review of student handbooks, documenting all student approved leaves of absence, suspensions, withdrawals, monitoring Service Account daily, and preparing student progress promotion comm.
Preferred qualifications include being detail oriented, organized, ability to work independently, read and process information quickly, and draft correspondence and policy, good time-management skills, team player and fosters positive working relationships with other university units, accurate and quick data entry skills, prior experience involving student curriculum, student enrollment, or other student services, proficiency in Microsoft Office products: Excel, Word, and Outlook email, and experience in software/web-based platforms: PeopleSoft, CourseLeaf, Blackboard, and ExamSoft.
Target compensation maximum: $32.98
Target compensation minimum: $21.99
Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
